Corinthian Stonemasons
We are located in Dumbarton and were established at our workshop in 1990. Our award-winning team comprises of fully qualified stonemasons and stone restorers.
We undertake all types of production, installation, refurbishment and repair to stonework, from mass installation of structural elements down to 'intricate carving.
Over the last thirty years, Corinthian Stonemasons have become established within The Construction Industry as the first point of contact for both Architects and Builders, offering advice on matters such as material selection/composition, stone scheduling, profile taking and detailed setting out.
We specialise in sympathetically restoring stonework using the highest quality materials.
We carry out all types of work, including lime pointing, lime mortar restoration, structural surveys/repairs, water ingress advice/prevention, and all types of insurance work.
Services
STRUCTURAL ADVICE AND REPAIRS: Many properties suffer from structural damage. We can assess, stabilise, make safe and repair as near to an invisible repair as possible.
WATER INGRESS SOLUTIONS: Water ingress is a major problem with solid construction. We can assess and prevent further internal damage to your property.
LIME MORTAR RESTORATION: All of our restoration is colour sampled prior application. Our surface finishing is of the highest standard and is matched sympathetically to the surrounding areas.
LIME MORTAR POINTING: All of our pointing is colour and aggregate matched prior to application. We are specialists in carefully removing cemetitious mortar and repointing to match the original style - flush keyed, recessed, tuck keyed and lime putty.
CARVING: Our fully qualified stonemasons will reproduce any type of stonework you require using traditional techniques.
BUILDING WORK: We can build any type of stonework you require. Ashlar, sneck rubble, random rubble and monoliths
