Wallings
Has your old wall become tired from wear and tear? If so, Marionville Masonry can re-point or rebuild your wall to rejuvinate its life and turn the eroded look into brand new architecture.
Pillars
Decorative stone pillars or plinths can become cracked, broken, stained or green with age. Our expert finishers are able to repair any damage and brighten up the whole area to make them look good as new. Whether they’re granite, sandstone or concrete our finishers can fix the damage.
Traditional Lime Mortar Specialists
Masonry walls need to be maintained and repaired, just as roofs and rainwater goods do. We are one of a very few lime-pointing experts in Edinburgh.
Stone Steps
Stone steps in particular are a great way to welcome visitors, and of course they are an integral part of many traditional Scottish buildings. Marionville Masonry offer a range of services to make sure your steps are the best they can be.
Re-Pointing
At Marionville Masonry, we cover all aspects of pointing using lime mortar, and highly recommend its use as it offers more advantages than a modern cement-based mortar. We are experts in lime mortar pointing and will take the time to find the right shade and strength of mortar, to ensure a great looking finish and a durable job.
Render Repairs
If your render is starting to chip away, become damp under the surface, or develop cracks throughout the material, Marionville Masonry can help. Traditionally using lime morter, we can fix any manner of building render and seal your walls for years to come.

"In March 2025 we bought part of a 10m wide strip of waste ground at the rear of our property. Kyle and his people worked on every aspect of its rehabilitation and integration with our back garden. They helped clear the ground of vegetation, level it, re-pointed about 30m of rustic wall, built steps down from the existing garden, built a fence, and built a small pond.

They protected the downstairs neighbour's window and garden slabs when they erected the scaffolding, so nothing got damaged, and they cleared up afterwards.
