Lime Pointing & Repointing
At Sterling Stonework, we use lime mortar for pointing and repointing — a traditional material ideally suited for stone or brick masonry. Unlike modern cement-based mortars, lime mortar remains softer and breathable, allowing moisture to escape naturally rather than become trapped.
Chimney Work & Restoration
Chimneys are often the most exposed parts of a building, leaving them vulnerable to weathering. At Sterling Stonework, we repair mortar joints and damaged stone or brickwork using traditional methods, and carry out full chimney rebuilds when needed to keep the structure safe.
